A Monday Walkabout (with a video!)

I'm sorry that I'm not very tech savvy and that not everyone may be able to see the vlog but I'm trying something new and hopefully I will figure out the quirks soon!

This video and these pictures are from a walk I took this morning to a nearby park with boardwalks and lots of birds and running water and some funny smells and even garter snakes and snails and slugs and beyond. I really needed to get out and the overcast weather was more welcoming to me than the idea of the gym.

Little flowers along the boardwalk!

A little overview of the wetlands.
You can't quite see the boardwalks,
but they're there!

  2. I do understand. Maybe not exactly what you are feeling but the general feeling of hopelessness and wondering what the point of all of it is. The last few months I have being doing okay, some days are actually good but I know how depression works. I know that it will come back. Well, not come back because it is always there lurking. It is just how hard it will come back. It is a bitch.
I hope your walk was peaceful. xo

    1. I hate the "hopelessness and wondering what the point of all of it is" and living in fear! Spot on. I hope you continue to have better days.

Oh, and thank you, my walk was nice and peaceful :o)

  3. I am with you. I really like walking on the 'soft days'. Fighting your way out from under the concrete cloud is so very hard. And the battle never ends.
I am so glad you got out.
Heartfelt hugs and oceans of caring.

    1. Thanks Martha! I ended up going out to a cafe that afternoon to keep the ball rolling staying occupied, it worked out pretty well!

  7. Cloudy days are the best walk-about days in my humble opinion. What a beautiful area! Nature can be so healing sometimes. For me, at least.

    1. Every time I get out and about in Nature I think, "Oh, I need to do this more often" but it still seems to be a little bit of challenge. Maybe one day it will just be a new norm :o)

  9. Because of where I'm reading the blogs, I cannot watch the video, but that's on me, not you.

I love, love, love overcast days. And rainy days. Sunny days too, but I do fancy a nice spooky day.

    1. My video skills are limited, I admit it fully!

I find gray days to be essential and rain rejuvenating :o)
